mission statement
Rhythm is a submission-based small format magazine or zine. Dedicated to showcasing the creativity of student artists, we aim to foster a stronger sense of community within Westphal.This student-led initiative is crafted, organized, and edited by students under the guidance of faculty advisors. Although endorsed by the college, Rhythm operates autonomously. Issues of Rhythm will be released periodically, for FREE along with stickers, posters and other collectible material. Inspired by zine, skate and graffiti cultures, Rhythm employs mixed media design to convey information in a fun, authentic and visually impactful way. Using techniques from graffiti art, risograph printing and collaging, the magazine’s visual style is exciting and youthful.
