This chair was a labor of love and passion project of mine. Clearly inspired by classic MCM furntiure (Eames, Knoll etc.), I created this chair from 3/4” plywood. The goal of the project was create a sleek design that utilized joinery and the smallest amount of material possible. As my first design from conception to reality, I am proud of how it turned out! I hope to create more furniture to live in its ecosystem in the future. It features an inset magazine rack not only as a functional and aesthetic feature, but also as an important structural component. This allows the chair to have a removable seat for possible customization, and alllowed for the absence of screws and other hardware.
